This festival is a family-oriented event and most of our animations would be given a "G" rating. We will accept animations with a "PG" rating at our discretion. If by chance, an animation is accepted that deserves a "PG-13" rating, it would only be aired during our evening show times. We will not accept animations that are excessively violent or obscene. If we decide not to accept your animation, you will be notified. If you have any doubts, please ask before submitting an entry.
Submitting Your Entry
First upload a PREVIEW Copy or your animation using the Withoutabox Secure Online Screener tool. The festival committee will review this for acceptance. If we cannot preview your animation before the May 1st deadline, we may not be able to accept your entry.
Once you are notified of your acceptance, you must send an EXHIBITION QUALITY Copy of your animation entry to be received no later than the last day of May. Send it via snail mail or electronic service. Details will be included in the notifications. If we do not receive your animation in time, we cannot showcase it during the festival.
Exhibition Quality Copy Guidelines: Maximum resolution is 1280×720 with a square pixel aspect ratio. We recommend using H.264 compression (Quicktime) or WMV3 (WMV) as a file on disk. We will not accept entries that we cannot view, and we will not accept video formatted to automatically play as a standard DVD or VHS cassette.
Other details, including method of payment and early-bird discounts can be found at our listing at Withoutabox.
If you’d like, you can also send us some promotional materials for your animation, such as concept art, posters, or brochures. We may use these to promote your work and the festival. There is no limit to the number of animations you may enter.
